Cincinnati Public Schools plans to auction nine school buildings on June 9, 2009. Located in eight neighborhoods, many of these buildings, now all vacant, are architectural gems built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The buildings’ zoning is approved for non-conforming use, which allows for redevelopment as office space, retail shops, condominiums, care facilities and much more.
