Windows has been Heritage Ohio's Preservation & Revitalization publication since 2001, keeping Ohioans updated about the latest news.

As you’ve probably seen, Heritage Ohio has a new look for 2012. However, it’s not just our new logo. While our member publication, Windows, has kept you updated about Ohio preservation & revitalization over the past 11 years, it’s time to freshen up the look of it (including the title) and that’s where we need your help. We’re renaming Windows and want your suggestions!

Either like our Facebook page and post your suggested magazine name on our wall, OR enter your suggested name in the comments section below. We will accept naming entries until Friday, January 20, 2012.

The winning suggestion will receive a complimentary one-night stay for two at the Georgian Manor Inn – B&B in Norwalk. If we receive multiple identical winning suggestions, one name will be chosen from random to receive the one-night stay at the Georgian Manor.

A sad day for all of Ohio; the demolition of Seneca County Courthouse scheduled to begin today.  A day that will be regretted by Ohioans for decades.

And more than just the look! Heritage Ohio has worked to refine our message, focus our activities and rebuild our website to better serve Ohio communities. Our new look reflects improvements to help us carry out our mission:

As Ohio’s official historic preservation and Main Street organization, Heritage Ohio fosters economic development and sustainability through preservation of historic buildings, revitalization of downtowns and neighborhood commercial districts, and promotion of cultural tourism.

The new Heritage Ohio brand identity represents the vitality and individuality of Ohio communities and how, when united, they create a colorful and vibrant Ohio.

Visit Vermilion in February for their annual Ice-A-Fair to Remember

The fourth annual Ice-A-Fair to Remember will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Downtown Vermilion will be transformed into a winter wonderland with over 35 professionally carved ice sculptures. Visitors will be treated to ice carving demonstrations as well as horse drawn carriage rides around our historic commercial and residential district.

While touring the lighted sculptures, browse through our unique shops, boutiques and galleries. Enjoy hot chocolate at our Main Street office building or stop for a bite at one of our charming restaurants and coffee shops.
