Scenic Portsmouth is situated on the banks of the Scioto River directly across from Kentucky surrounded by breathtaking views.  Downtown Portsmouth is home to many unique shops and restaurants and is filled with many historic buildings and locations.  However, Portsmouth is perhaps best known for the incredible Flood Wall Murals that depict significant events and people throughout Portsmouth’s history.  These murals bring visitors from all over the world to Portsmouth each year.

Downtown Portsmouth & Historic Boneyfiddle

Main Street Portsmouth (MSP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that utilizes the approach developed by the National Main Street program in 1977.  MSP seeks to preserve the historic integrity of downtown Portsmouth and the historic Boneyfiddle district.  It is a priority of the organization to invest funds in the community by providing matching building improvement grants to property owners and sponsoring community events and activities.  MSP also wishes to empower business owners by giving them the tools they need to create successful, thriving businesses that will revitalize the downtown area.
