Wooster

Wooster, the county seat of Wayne County, is a community of 25,000 people located almost equidistant between Cleveland and Columbus and just north of Amish Country in Holmes County. Wooster is the home of The College of Wooster, Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, OSU/ Agricultural Technical Institute and The Wooster Brush company. Founded in 1808, downtown Wooster represents the area first surveyed by the party who founded the city and named it for General David Wooster of Reevolutionary War fame.

Main Street Wooster

Main Street Wooster is in its 26th year and is the oldest of the Ohio Main Street communities with the longest serving executive director, Sandra Hull. It has 150 member businesses and individuals, representing retail, office and industrial entities.
