EMERGING
The Emerging Level Program is designed for downtown revitalization organizations actively moving toward becoming a Designated Main Street™ Program. The purpose of Emerging Level membership is to allow Heritage Ohio and the participating organization to work hand in hand over the course of one to three years to ready the organization for application into the Ohio Main Street™ Program.
MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
- Board participation in Retreat/Strategic Planning Meeting to:
- Meet HO staff
- Review Emerging requirements
- Review Board Roles & Responsibilities
- Review Evaluation documents and criteria
- Review Monthly Reporting form
- Review Heritage Ohio training calendar
- Review Main Street application
- Develop Annual Work Plan
- Board participation in six-month informal evaluation
- Board participation in one-year evaluation
- Board creation of Annual Work Plan
- Part-time or full-time staff (may be paid or volunteer)
- Staff attends Heritage Ohio’s new manager training in Columbus
- Staff attends at least two Main Street/Revitalization trainings annually
- Staff attends at least two Manager Networking sessions annually
- Reporting on monthly reinvestment statistics
Heritage Ohio works closely with Emerging Level members to determine their strengths and weaknesses and will customize technical assistance to address and overcome organizational deficiencies.
