Followed by a free Chardon Polka Band concert! Participating restaurants and retail shops will have groundhog related events throughout the day.

Ice-A-Fair – Vermilion
The 11th Annual Main Street Vermilion Ice-A-Fair is a day-long winter event for the entire family filled with glistening sculptures, ice carving demos and more! Easily walkable or tour by Lolly the Trolley for $2 a rider or $5 for a family. You’ll find more than 30 shops, restaurants and pubs open to welcome visitors. You’re certain to bump into Jolly the Snowman and Pete the Penguin on the street as you enjoy your day in downtown Vermilion.

Ice-A-Fair Meltdown Party – Vermilion
Just a short walk from the center of town and the site of Fire & Ice, a spectacular display that caps the day, the party starts at 7PM. For $25 a person, enjoy music, hors doeurves and a cash bar. Relax around the fireplace and a great view of the river and Lagoons.

Main Street Van Wert Chocolate Walk – Van Wert
The evening of the event, “chocolate walkers” will begin at the MSVW office to pick up a special Chocolate Bag sponsored by Stephanie Dawn, a chocolate voucher from DeBrand Fine Chocolates, and a map of the downtown stops. Then relax and savor the evening while strolling at one’s leisure through the participating businesses downtown. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride up and down Main Street.

The Main Street Delaware Chocolate Walk is a tasty experience you won’t want to miss. With your $20 ticket you will visit downtown businesses and receive a treat at each one. Each business thoughtfully prepares a chocolate treat for you to experience their business in a unique, yummy way.

Main Street Kent Chocolate Walk – Kent
A wonderland of chocolate will take place in downtown Kent. Ticket holders will “check in” between 12PM and 4PM at the Destination Kent Visitor Centre (located at 201 E. Erie St.) to pick up their Chocolate Walk maps, “passes,” and bags to collect their chocolate treats. Then, at their leisure, guests can stop at over twenty participating businesses to gather a chocolate surprise while shopping, having lunch, coffee, and/or drinks along the way.

Join Main Street Portsmouth for the Annual Ellen Vetter Chocolate Walk to collect sweet treats and check out our many wonderful shops and restaurants.

Beat the Winter Blues with Brews & Wine About Winter – Wellington
Come enjoy tasting beer and wine with many local brews. We also have a special guest- the Lorain County Health Department who will be serving the non-alcoholic “Responsible Driver”, the winning drink from their zero-proof mix-off. Pre-Sale Tickets are $15 and available at Red Iron and Main Street Wellington. They are $20 at the door. Ticket includes 5 tastes, 5 free raffle tickets, and a chance at the grand prize that includes a stay at Spreng Hous, our downtown Bed and Breakfast. The main host is Red Iron Bar and Grille, but there will be additional stops in other businesses on a mini trail.

Downtown Tipp City’s Annual Founder’s Affair – Tipp City
Downtown Tipp City’s Annual Founder’s Affair is going to be a roaring good time. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, February 21st from 6pm-8pm with a speakeasy theme. Gone are the days of prohibition but downtown will come together in the basement of the Tipp City Public Library to celebrate the history of downtown, accomplishments of this past year, and set a vision for the upcoming year for the organization.

Take a Hike – Cleveland
Take a Hike offers five (FREE!) guided walking tours of distinct neighborhoods in downtown Cleveland! Weekly tours explore the Gateway District, Warehouse District, Civic Center, Playhouse Square neighborhood and Canal Basin Park in the Flats. Each tour lasts approximately one and a half hours in length, and features actors and actresses portraying historic figures from Cleveland’s past. Check the website for the full schedule of tours.
