In this webinar, Katie Rispoli Keaotamai, CEO of Ticco will dive into the forms of career development that are available to today’s up-and-coming professionals who work with the built environment. Through a conversational format, Katie will provide an overview of the ways that these early-career professionals enhance their careers, and will compare and contrast the experiences of preservationists with their peers in intersecting practices. Katie will offer insight for preservation practitioners to understand their unique position and build a foundation for a successful career in the midst of a continually changing profession and movement.

Katie Rispoli Keaotamai

Katie Rispoli Keaotamai is the Founder and CEO of Ticco. Katie has spent the last seven years completing work that intersects with construction, historic preservation, urban planning, and placemaking. She is most well known for her work in construction management, having planned and overseen the relocation of the world’s first Taco Bell as well as a number of other public and residential buildings. Prior to becoming CEO of Ticco, Katie served as Executive Director of We Are the Next where she provided programs that introduced teens and young adults to cities and the built environment. She holds a BA in Art History from California State University, Long Beach and a Master of Heritage Conservation from the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California.

2019 Quarterly Revitalization Series: Organization

Join Heritage Ohio in Mount Vernon on February 13th for the 1st Revitalization Series Workshop of 2019. The focus of this workshop will be on organization. For those new to leadership roles, we will have an overview of Robert’s Rules of Order. We will then be exploring many critical topic to the success of your organization including choosing the right leaders, the executive director relationship with the board, and the relationship between community, identity, and fundraising. Personal development is a critical component of being a successful leader and we will be rounding out the workshop by exploring personality types and the emotional quotient to gain a better understanding of your own strengths and those you work with. Light breakfast from the North Main Café will be provided and as always, you will have the opportunity to explore this Main Street community and grab a bite to eat as a local establishment.

Emerging Professionals Scholarship

It is back for the second year! Thanks to the continued support from Schooley Caldwell, this year will see the return of the Emerging Professionals Scholarship contest and conference session.
SC_Logo_RGBScholarship winners will receive the opportunity to present a mini-presentation on their preservation work, 2-nights at the conference hotel, up to $100 travel reimbursement, and complimentary conference registration. Winners will be announced in early August, and all applicants will receive early bird conference registration code if not selected. There are two scholarship opportunities for the 2017 Heritage Ohio Annual Conference.
No fee is required to apply, however, support from our members allows us to continue helping Ohioans to save the places that matter; build community; live better. Please consider joining here.
