  • Take a Hike – Cleveland Take a Hike Tour in Cleveland
    Take a Hike offers six (FREE!) guided walking tours of distinct neighborhoods in downtown Cleveland! Weekly tours explore the Gateway District, University Circle, Warehouse District, Civic Center, Playhouse Square neighborhood and Canal Basin Park in the Flats. Each tour lasts approximately one and a half hours in length, and features actors and actresses portraying historic figures from Cleveland’s past. Check the website for the full schedule of tours.
  • South Town Cruise-In – Medina
    Join Main Street Medina for a weekly cruise-in in Medina’s South Town, Tuesday evenings, May 21-September 24th from 4-8pm at 233 Lafayette Rd (the former Hawkins Market parking lot, soon to be the new home of Medina County Habitat for Humanity). See some of the best classic, collectible, rat rod, hot rod, and muscle cars in Northeast Ohio, and enjoy classic tunes from the 1950-70’s with DJ Bruce. The South Town Cruise-In is free and open to the public.
  • Painesville Friday Night Car Cruise – Painesville
    Painesville’s famous Car Cruise is every Friday on the Square in Downtown Painesville! Stroll through vintage, muscle and unique vehicles lining beautiful Veteran’s Park while enjoying music, ‘hot dogs on the hill’ and East Coast Custard! Every Friday night, all summer long.
  • Yoga on East Green – Tiffin
    Stretch out and relax with Yoga Chuck each Saturday morning from 9 – 10 AM on downtown Tiffin’s East Green.

  • Chardon KidsFest & Flea Market – Chardon
    The Kids Flea Market is a great opportunity for kids to get rid of those old, unused toys, games and clothes while providing a safe venue for learning the basics of entrepreneurship. KidsFest features games and activities including the dunk tank (with Chardon teachers!), tug-o-war, pizza eating contest, dancing with Jasmine Dragons, and much more!
  • Farm to Table Dinner & Pie Auction – Portsmouth
    This year’s Main Street Portsmouth Farm to Table Dinner and Pie Auction consists of homemade chicken noodle soup, salad, veggies, and a pie. The meal is prepared and served by Portsmouth farmers market vendors. There will also have a live pie auction, where guests can bid on pies made by our farmers market vendors and donated by members of the community. There will also be live music and an open beer bar.

  • First Friday: Celebrate Our Law Enforcement! – Delaware
    August First Friday! Come downtown from 6 to 9 p.m. and join us in celebrating our local heroes! This free family event will have lots of activities for kids, police cars for little ones to explore, and food. There will be a bike corral with check-in at the corner of Central and Sandusky, so your bike will stay safe and sound while you enjoy all this fun night has to offer!
  • First Friday: Art Walk – Kent
    Explore special exhibits, enjoy demonstrations, snacks, hands-on activities and more in downtown Kent.
  • First Friday: Downtown Art Walk – Marietta
    August’s First Friday is a special Downtown Art Walk, with a twist!
  • First Friday: Bee Kind in Medina – Medina
    Grab your friends and head to historic Medina the first Friday of each month for an evening of socializing, dining, shopping, dancing, laughing, and merriment.
  • First Friday: Italian Fest – Middletown
    Buon giorno! Downtown Middletown is going Italian! Join Downtown Middletown for a festive First Friday filled with Italian fun! Italian themed food & drinks will be plentiful, including a community progressive dinner – Mangia Middletown! Come enjoy Italian music, bocce, a gondola race for the kids, a spaghetti eating contest, a family movie night, and more as we celebrate all things Italiano!
  • First Friday: Dog Days of Summer – Mount Vernon
    Your furry family is welcomed at the August 2nd Dog Days of Summer themed event. The Main Stage will host Three Rivers Bluegrass and the South Stage Entertainment is Soul Legacy. Meet Jungle Joe and his Crickey Croc friends. Bring your puppy pals for dog treats and giveaways. Don’t miss this PAWsome Event! Ever wonder what upstairs looks like downtown? Get a sneak peek into “Hidden Spaces” with Knox County Landmarks Foundation in August’s look at historic downtown buildings. A “DAWGUST Costume Parade” as part of the celebration. Looking for a new fur kid? Main Street Mount Vernon will be hosting a pet adoption event during First Friday. The First Friday Cruise-In is on the square for the 2019 season.
  • First Friday: Who is Your Superhero? – Painesville
    Join the Downtown Painesville Organization and participating merchants to celebrate our Superheroes. This First Friday is a kickoff to the National Night Out being held at Veteran’s Park. Come dressed as your favorite superhero and bring along you real life superhero. Stroll throughout the downtown and meet with local and to infamous heroes. You never know who you may see!
  • First Friday: Putt-Putt Downtown – Tipp City putt putt
    Join Downtown Tipp City for the second annual putt-putt adventure course through the downtown shops! Each participating shop will have their own unique miniature golf hole to challenge you along your way. This is a family-friendly event and you are encouraged to come decked out in your best golf gear!
  • Fridays on Prouty: Dayton Funk AllStars – Troy
    Performing legendary hits from the annals of Dayton, Ohio Funk history, this amazing twelve-piece All-Star group includes notables such as Tony Allen on guitar, Deron Bell on talk box, vocalist Felicia Jefferson and Ronald Nooks. Three horns, three keyboards and two percussionists. DFunk delivers a big authentic Dayton-funk sound.
  • Fountain Park Summer Music Series: The Everly Set – Van Wert
    In 1957, teens Phil and Don Everly supercharged the vocal sound of Rock’n’Roll with Bye Bye Love and Wake Up Little Susie, unleashing the sparkling vocal harmonies that would influence The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Peter Paul & Mary, and the Bee Gees. Now, six decades later, two acclaimed NYC singer-songwriters with a death-defying, three-decade age difference combine millennial innocence with baby-boomer pluck to present.   • First Friday: Around the World – Wadsworth
    This month’s international theme comes from “Around the World in 80 Days” and will be partnered with the Wadsworth Airport’s hot air balloon weekend! The American Legion will return with their hugely popular downtown BBQ.

  • Antiques in the Alley – Millersburg
    Do you love Antiques, recycled items, up-cycled or unique lawn art? Are you interested in true artisans and having an item that is truly one of a kind? Antiques in the Alley encompasses the entire town of Millersburg including the Courthouse Lawn, alleys, sidewalks and shops! The Burg throws open it’s doors and let’s everyone take the entire day to search for the perfect item to take home. Food and drinks can be found in any of our pubs and food trucks. Plan to stick around because the night brings entertainment-whether you prefer live or Karaoke, it’s all here.
  • Chalk it Up! – Vermilion
    August marks the fourth year for this colorful event that fills a portion of Main Street with colorful chalk art. This year’s theme is (drum roll, please): NAUTICAL! Enjoy bright chalk drawings created by local artistic talent. Enjoy some family and kid-friendly interactive opportunities, too.

  • Fridays on Prouty: Sadie Bass Band – Troy
    County music singer Sadie Bass could be the poster child for outlaw country music. Her small-town roots taught her everything she needed to know about hunting, fishing, softball playing, pick-up truck driving and chasing her dreams. To Sadie, living the dream means writing songs about faith and family, romance and growing up country. Singing country music is what she loves best.
  • Hidden Spaces – Van Wert
    Hidden Spaces is back! Tickets are only $10 and when purchased gets you access to some of the great Hidden Spaces just steps off the sidewalk in Downtown Van Wert.
  • Fountain Park Summer Music Series: John Denver Tribute – Van Wert
    Ted Vigil has an uncanny physical and musical resemblance to John Denver. When he takes the stage and begins to sing, the audience is transported back in time. Making a return trip to Van Wert, Ted will take you on a “Rocky Mountain high” as we finish another season of fun and music in Fountain Park.

    The 2nd Annual Hops in the Hangar is a unique, craft beer tasting event that will surely take flight! Beer has never looked so cool as being served in a huge, operating airport hangar – talk about unique ambiance! Hops in the Hangar will feature a wide selection of beer from breweries big and small and showcases a variety of aircraft. The professional skydivers jumping overhead will create an experience few will forget. The evening will be packed with beers, planes, food trucks, music and more.
  • Down a River, Down a Beer – Piqua
    Piqua’s 6th annual riverside craft beer festival to promote great beer and to encourage appreciation and conservation of the Great Miami River as a valued resource for our communities. Each year, Dr. Beer creatively curates a varied collection of 99 craft beers to sample. Fiery braziers burning in the river, live music and a very cool beer-swag silent auction add to the fun.

  • East Green Summer Concert Series: Wally and the Beavs – Tiffin

The band is known for very strong vocal harmonies complimented by a dynamic horn section. You can dance all night or simply sit back and enjoy the humorous stage antics and powerful music from Wally and The Beavs.

  • Fridays on Prouty: The Jugtime Ragband – Troy
    With a bit of jazz, blues and swing; a pinch of old-time gospel and even classic showtunes this band promises an energetic amalgamation of upbeat Dixieland and swing tempos underlying a heavy dose of powerful 1920s inspired vocals styles. Influences include Louis Prima, Bix Beiderbecke, Louis Armstrong and the Boswell Sisters. Enjoy songs composed by some of the best songwriter from the early mind-twentieth century.
  • Fountain Park Summer Music Series: Van Wert Area Community Band – Van Wert
    The Van Wert Area Community Band is a group of musicians of all ages who enjoy playing their instruments and making music.

    Classic cars, trucks and motorcycles will line up and down Wheeling Avenue in historic downtown Cambridge.
  • A Twist on Prohibition: A History-Themed Bar Crawl – Marietta
    Live it up roaring twenties style for one night in historic, downtown Marietta! Sadly, 100 years ago you couldn’t grab a drink… legally. Beginning in May 1919, the sale, manufacturing, and transportation of alcoholic beverages became illegal. Bootlegging, backwoods stills, speakeasies, and corruption all grew, creating rampant illegal consumption… and that’s just here in Washington County! But why are we telling you all this when you can learn for yourself during this fun bar crawl? Oh, and don’t forget you’ll be drinking for a good cause. This event serves as a fundraiser for both The Castle – Marietta, Oh & Marietta Main Street. Cheers!

    The Great Marietta Marketplace is a unique, mobile curated market showcasing the products of local and regional vendors and small businesses. This marketplace is located just footsteps from downtown, providing visitors the opportunity to browse booths of art, quality handcrafts, vintage goods, and much more.
  • Medina Fest – Medina
    Medina Fest will feature businesses, music, food, and activities unique to Medina. The four main event components include music, Medina family activities, a Medina business expo, and Medina restaurant row. The Medina County Farmers Market will also be part of the festivities.
  • East Green Summer Concert Series: New Day Collective – Tiffin
    The New Day is a collective of vertan Detroit musicians. A new project, the band formed in 2019 and is currently working on their first record. Stylistically the band is rooted in Jazz Fusion, Funk, Rock, Latin, R&B and Hip Hop with a Detroit edge. The band plays a mix of originals and select covers from bands like The Brecker Bros, and Snarky Puppy and The Crusaders.

  • Dickens Victorian Village – Cambridge

    Take a trip back in time and experience old world England as historic downtown Cambridge, Ohio, is charmingly transformed into a Dickens Victorian Village each holiday season. From November through mid January each year, visitors are invited to stroll amidst over 92 scenes of 166 lifelike figures representing classic scenes from Victorian society. While in Cambridge, experience the spectacular Guernsey County Courthouse Light Show.

  • North Pole Express – Lebanon

    The LM&M Railroad will have our station area decorated with lights for the Christmas season. Hot chocolate and cookies will be available on the platform while you wait for your train and are included with your ticket. Each passenger will receive one cookie that is peanut free, egg free, tree nut free, and dairy free. Every passenger will receive a FREE souvenir hot chocolate mug. Each child will receive a special “North Pole Express” souvenir train ticket.
    During the hour long journey Santa and his elves will make their way through the train to visit with each family. Every child will receive a bell from Santa’s sleigh. We encourage you to bring your own camera, pictures with Santa are allowed and encouraged. Balloon artists will also be on-board the train.

  • Annual Christmas Parade Auction & Fundraiser – Mount Vernon

    Join us for the 2018 Christmas Parade Auction! Support an annual holiday tradition in downtown Mount Vernon while gaining publicity for your business!

    Starting a new tradition: A gift card tree will be on display, with your $20 donation, you will have the chance at pulling a gift card valued between $5-$100. All proceeds will be donated to the 2018 Christmas Walk and Main Street Mount Vernon.

  • First Friday: Dickens of a Christmas Street Fair – Cambridge

    A fun filled evening celebrating the kick off of the Dickens festivities. Father Christmas, magician, stilt walkers and the start of the courthouse light show! Ohio Magazine will also be in hand for the presentation of the Best Hometown Award!

  • First Friday: Celebrate Service – Delaware

    This first Friday event will feature Delaware County nonprofit organizations. The not for profit organizations will provide giveaways, information, and opportunities for people to get more involved in community service. November’s First Friday also will feature games, face-painting, cooking demonstrations, and more family-friendly fun.

  • First Friday: Art Walk – Kent

    Join Main Street Kent for the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Kent! All participating galleries and businesses will stay open until at least 8pm on the first Friday of each month, for all to come enjoy and explore the artwork inside their businesses. Enjoy refreshments, enter in special drawings, view artist demonstrations and participate in activities throughout the downtown district.

  • First Friday: Future Pioneers – Marietta

    November’s First Friday is Future Pioneers. Downtown is set to welcome and encourage all of our local young entrepreneurs to come downtown. This month’s sponsor is Marietta College, who will be located on the Armory Square. In attendance will be the Entrepreneur Program from the College, as well as Student Athletes. Local downtown businesses will be host to several local young entrepreneurs, who own and manage their own business and invite other youth of the like into their shops! Come join us to celebrate all of those who pioneer their own way!

    Also on the Armory Square, Marietta College will be providing giveaways for those who shop local, so come down to shop our local shops.

  • First Friday – Medina

    Spend a Friday evening in the Medina Historic District, and visit the wonderful shops, boutiques, attractions, and so much more. Many stores open until 9pm. Planned activities include live music at different businesses, pop up art shows, and special sales.

  • Thanksgiving Side Dish Food Drive – Medina

    When you’re heading to First Friday, don’t forget to bring a side dish for the Thanksgiving Side Dish Food Drive. Join Main Street Medina and Feeding Medina County in helping others have a happy Thanksgiving.

  • First Friday: Ale in Autumn – Middletown

    Downtown Middletown has planned a evening full of Ale in Autumn fav’s and tons of NEW activities and happenings, including Flannel Fever, DORA specials, Ale in Autumn Beer(d) competition, and the Lincoln Log Lumberjack Competition.

  • First Friday: Ladies Night – Mount Vernon

    Main Street Mount Vernon is excited to again host the upcoming Ladies’ Night in downtown Mount Vernon. This adult-only event will feature open-till-8:00 pm downtown businesses, restaurants, galleries, and more.

  • Movie Night – Tipp City

    We will kick off at 5:30pm with a showing of Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving. Immediately following (around 6:30pm) we will show “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” This is a free event! Bring your own lawn chair and blankets. Join us on the lawn of the Zion Lutheran Church at the corner of N. 3rd and Main St. Downtown.

  • First Friday: Chocolate Walk – Wadsworth

    Walk around to different downtown “chocolate stops” to receive a unique chocolate treat at each business or organization!

  • Shop Small Holiday Expo – Portsmouth

    The Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Portsmouth are teaming up to host the first Shop Small Holiday Expo in the Scioto County Welcome Center, where local neighbors can come together and shop, or plan their shopping lists, based on area businesses or experienced crafters from their own community. You don’t need to order on Amazon or leave town for that special gift. We look forward to seeing you soon!

  • Chardon Macaroni Fest – Chardon

    Did you know one of the industries Chardon was built on was macaroni? Yes, Macaroni! The Chardon Macaroni Factory was a major employer in the early days of Chardon–and we want to celebrate it! Guests will travel around the square scoring Macaroni dishes, special drinks, games, contests and activities! We’ll be partnering with local non profits and businesses to create a weekend-long event that celebrates our historic culture and culinary future!

  • Grip It & Sip It Mini Golf on the Town – Middletown

    Spend the afternoon in Downtown Middletown visiting our great downtown businesses and playing a unique hole of mini-golf at each! Cash prizes! All proceeds will go to our Middletown First Responders, the Middletown Fire Department Fire!

    Bring your own putter and golf ball or use one supplied by the bars and businesses. Bring your own gallery and enjoy food & drink specials during a day of golf and laughs where fun is par for the course! And don’t forget team costumes are highly encouraged!

    Join Main Street Medina in celebrating the 34th year of Medina’s Candlelight Walk – Northeast Ohio’s kick-off to the holiday season!  The celebration features over 2 miles of LED lights highlighting the traditional Victorian Square and buildings; over 1,500 luminaries; lighting of a 10′ tall community Christmas Tree in the Gazebo; Iconic traditional ‘Parade of Lights’ through the heart of town; Santa and Mrs. Claus arrival; Entertainment; Shopping and more!

  • Wadsworth Candlelight Walk – Wadsworth

    Make your way downtown to Wadsworth’s Annual Candlelight Walk on Friday, November 16 from 6-9 p.m.!
    Join Santa, the Mayor and the Salvation Army to light the downtown Christmas Tree located in the gazebo! Horse-drawn carriage rides, children’s scavenger hunt, carolers, pictures with Santa, and much more offered by the downtown businesses and organizations! This kick-off of the Christmas Season will continue the next day with a lovely and joyous cantata. Many singers from various Wadsworth churches will present Canticles in Candlelight (a Cantata for Christmas) by Joseph M. Martin on Saturday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ.

    Marietta Main Street needs all hands on deck this year to decorate Downtown Marietta for the holidays! We will be prepping the wreaths and garland to be hung on poles, hanging our holiday flags, cleaning up our sidewalks and bump outs, and of course – hanging all of our decor! It takes a village, so please invite your friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, fellow church members, civic groups – the more, the merrier!

    Join Main Street Medina in celebrating the 34th year of Medina’s Candlelight Walk – Northeast Ohio’s kick-off to the holiday season!  The celebration features over 2 miles of LED lights highlighting the traditional Victorian Square and buildings; over 1,500 luminaries; lighting of a 10′ tall community Christmas Tree in the Gazebo; Iconic traditional ‘Parade of Lights’ through the heart of town; Santa and Mrs. Claus arrival; Entertainment; Shopping and more!

  • Christmas Open House & Chocolate Walk – Millersburg

    Join Historic Downtown Millersburg & their merchants for a Christmas Open House & Chocolate Walk for “A Decadent Day of Chocolate & Shopping!” Purchase your ticket-which you will present at your first stop where you will receive an empty box and your first piece of delicious Coblentz Chocolates.     Breakfast with Santa returns to Downtown Lakewood when Jolly Saint Nick himself visits O’Neill Healthcare Lakewood. This popular holiday tradition consists of “Selfies with Santa” photo opportunities (bring your own camera), a seated breakfast (pancakes, eggs and sausage) and a children’s activity room featuring opportunities to write letters to the North Pole. This fun-filled, family-friendly event is open to all ages and is anticipated to sell out quickly. Tickets for both seatings (9 and 10:30 a.m.) of Breakfast with Santa are on sale now.

  • Portsmouth Today – Portsmouth

    Through an upcoming quarterly public forum, the Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Portsmouth are working in part with Community Action to bring the community together, build momentum on progress, and focus attention on just how much goes on that often goes unnoticed.

    The event is being called Portsmouth Today, and will be held every three months in the Scioto County Welcome Center. It will highlight positivity by focusing on a series of speakers who will update guests on their public events and projects, answer questions anyone may have, and hear input from those in attendance.
